Aston Martin Cars in India!!

Who said India has market place only for low and medium budget cars!! Aston Martin has tied up with Infinity Cars Pvt Ltd - Mumbai, to sell its cars in India. Infinity Cars is currently dealing with BMW cars.
The various models of Aston Martin cars will be available in price ranging between 1.35 to 2.85 crores (ex showroom price). The booking is expected to start in the second week of August. In the beginning 4 models - V8 Vantage, DB9, Rapide and DBS will be available.
Gone are the days when luxury car manufacturers from other countries were hesitant of entering into Indian market. The sales of luxury cars like Benz, BMW has encouraged others to enter into Indian Market. Indian car market is wide that it can accommodate low budget cars like Nano and also luxury cars like BMW, Aston Martin etc...
The market is wide but please don't ask me about the roads! The National highways are best suited for driving but not the traffic clogged roads in the cities and especially Mumbai - where the dealer is located!

Tussle between Amir & SRK

Though there are lot of reasons for a common man to worry about, media has given them one more reason - ongoing tussle between Amir khan and Shah Rukh Khan! The dates of Common Wealth Games are approaching fast and its quite clear that we are not ready yet but Media is worried more about the Stardom.
By the kind of movies that Amir does one can easily say that he is very matured, when we hear his statements about his counterparts we seriously wonder why he had done so. Could it be another publicity stunt.
The reach of the Media is very great now and they have gone to beyond of just Telecasting what had happened, now they make News. Best Example is Tehelka, they went well ahead in Investigative journalism and brought many corruptions into limelight. This is the high time for the Media to undergo change, else they may have to answer the question from the audience "Muje kya farukh padtha?" (why should I be bothered about that?)
Conducting the common wealth games in our country will be a pride for us, but owing to poor preparations if we fail it will turn out to be the biggest defame! I wish the Media turns the full focus on this event for the next few days which may ring a precautionary alarm to avoid such a disaster.

Cost Cutting Vs Savings

Cost Cutting
Due to the recession, there is one term which has become very popular, most of us have heard the term in our Organization irrespective of the size(whether its listed in Nasdaq or in NSE). The term is cost cutting.

Many Organizations misunderstand the concept of Cost Cutting. Cost Cutting refers to reducing unwanted costs, whereas the organizations cut few benefits which are offered to Employees. Such methods may sound like reducing costs in the short run.

Few organizations have already implemented few effective ways of cost cutting. They do not allow Employees to stretch their work timing, which entitles the Employees to few additional benefits like cab drop, additional allowances etc..

When an Employee increases his work timing his productivity decreases but the cost increases. Organizations have understood the stretched hours are not increasing the yield but increasing the cost. You can see in this pic how an Employee is working! in stretched hours.. The old saying is that 'A penny saved is a penny earned'. The saying is too old that now-a-days mere savings will not help. Whether its a organization or an Individual the actual benefit of cost cutting lies in utilising the saved expense in a productive way.

Let us see an illustration. Lets see the story of Mr A. Mr A has a bike and a car. If he travels to office by car he would end up spending three times more than what he would have spent if he had travelled by bike. He travels by bike to save money. End of the month if he doesnot invest the money thus saved it will not have any value. Most of us make this mistake. We claim to have saved some amount through cost cutting, but we do not invest the amount thus saved.

Many organisations have succeeded in implementing cost cutting techniques, unless they invest thus saved money it will not yield better results in the long run.
